The NYC Department of Employment (DOE) is seeking appropriately qualified vendors to provide services in the NYC Workforce1 Career Centers. Career Centers are being developed and managed as required under Title I-B of the Workforce Investment Act of 1988 (WIA). The Career Centers function as the primary entry points to NYC’s workforce development system.

Consortiums of organizations are eligible to submit a proposal in response to this RFP. However, the consortium must identify a lead organization that would become the contractor with the City.

Request for Proposals (RFP) packages may be obtained, in person only, from January 23, 2003 to March 4, 2003, Monday through Friday, between the hours of 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. at the NYC Dept. of Employment 220 Church St. — 4^th floor Procurement Unit, New York, NY 10013.

The original proposal and 4 copies of the complete proposal and all attachments must be ‘hand delivered’ to the above address no later than March 4, 2003, by 11 a.m. A mandatory pre-proposal conference for interested applicants will be held February 5, 2003 10:30 a.m. — 12:30 p.m., at 2 Washington Street, Room 1980, New York, NY 10004. Space constraints limit attendance to 2 persons per proposing organization.

DOE will not consider a proposal submitted by an organization that did not attend the mandatory pre-proposal conference.
