The New York Work Exchange, an initiative of the Coalition of Voluntary Mental Health Agencies, is mandated to increase employment opportunities for consumers of mental health services through the provision of education, training and technical assistance to New York City service providers. The following position is available:
Job Title: Employment Program and Policy Analyst
Responsibilities: responsibilities include preparing analyses regarding workforce development and related policies and practices; collaboration with providers, consumers, government agencies, learning institutions, employers and other consultants; providing technical assistance and training to constituents on program design and development; grant writing.
Qualifications: qualifications include a Masters degree in a relevant field and 5 years related experience, or an undergraduate degree or certificate and 5-10 years of relevant experience; experience in research, policy and planning analysis; ability to present issues clearly and succinctly in writing and verbally; knowledge of the NYC mental health systems and other systems and programs promoting rehabilitation and the employment goals of consumers of mental health services; computer skills in Word, SPSS, Access, Excel, and PowerPoint.
