The New York Association of Psychiatric Rehabilitation Services is a rapidly growing nationally acclaimed organization dedicated to improving services and social conditions for people with psychiatric disabilities by promoting their recovery, rehabilitation and rights.

NYAPRS SEEKS TO FILL THE FOLLOWING POSITIONS:

• Director, The Training Collective

Oversees the development and delivery of statewide training programs for community mental health agency administrators and direct-care professionals in innovative evidence-based recovery-centered best practice service models.

• Director, The NYAPRS Peer Bridger Project

Oversees the day-to-day operations and development of a pioneering self-help service model that supports individuals who have had long stays in state psychiatric centers to successfully transition to their home communities.

• Director, The NYAPRS Advance Directives Training Project

Oversees the development and delivery of statewide training and technical assistance programs for NYS mental health professionals on the use of advance directives and rights-based practice.

All Director positions require:

• experience with and knowledge of public mental health systems
• proficiency in and commitment to recovery, rehabilitation and rights-based service approaches
• experience in culturally competent leadership, supervision and training of diverse staff
• excellence in organizational, communication/presentation and computer technology skills
• capacity to regularly travel statewide to project and training sites.

• Projects Coordinator

Provides administrative support to agency operations and projects requires proficiency in database management, network administration (MS Outlook), reception, scheduling/travel support, excellent organizational and writing skills, proficiency at multi-tasking
